Well, this is just what the guy does. But, he really does make some good points in this little spiel about the Gulf War:
1. We (America) are good at War - and that's about it.
"This country is only 200 years old, and already we've had ten major wars. We average a major war every twenty years, So we're good at it!
And it's just as well we are, because we're not very good at anything else. Can't build a decent car anymore. Can't make a TV set, a cell phone, or a VCR. Got no steel industry left. No textiles. Can't educate our young people. Can't get health care to our old people. But we can bomb the shit outta your country..."
2. "If You're Brown, You're Goin Down"
The point is the quote. Think real hard about who we (America) have gone to war with. Just about every war we have is with a county of non white population.
3. Never Trust the Media
"My first rule: Never believe what anyone in authority says. None of them. Government, Police, clergy, the corporate criminals. None of them. And neither do I believe anything I'm told by the media..."
Remember Y2K? How everyone was all scared and stocking up on water and who knows what else? Well, that was the media - scaring you. Making you believe that you could be in danger. But you weren't were you?

While I don't agree with everything he says, I do agree with the anti-bush sentiment here. Both SR and W are bad for this country. They are both very driven by oil interests, with very strong ties to the middle east - caring only about making sure their pockets are well lined, and that their oil fields in the middle east and Texas, stay well protected.
This leads me to something that I've wanted to let out publicly for a long time. The richest 1% of our country has so much money, they'd have a hard time spending it all in more than 1 lifetime. That must be nice. Now, the poorest 20% of this country don't have the luxury of having meals everyday - or heat - or a car, etc. So, if the top 1% - or if rich people in general - were less greedy, and more generous, this country would be better off. I'm not talking about providing pimped out rides and jewelry. I'm talking about educational opportunities - beginning with kindergarten. I'm talking about supplementing income to parents who have to work 2 or 3 jobs to keep the bills paid. All the while having their kids go unattended on the streets - being mislead in many directions.
Money has the power to change things like this. But, a decision has to be made by the people who have this power.
