Ice Cubed Toes

I went surfing @ 8:00 AM on Saturday. Which meant, 55° Outside and 60° H20. Yes, that's cold. I had on my 4/3 wetsuit, which kept my body warm, but my feet and hands were freeking cold! The waves were VERY small, and I think I only caught 1 wave. So, by the time I got out, I was a little frusterated. Then, I tried to walk from the water to my car. Every step felt like my bones were touching the ground, without any foot pads to absorb the shock. I thought that numb feet felt no pain. I was wrong. Every step hurt, and the shower provided to rinse off saltwater and sand was even colder than I could have imagined.

Ok, no more bitching, I did have some fun. I realized that I need to go and buy some of those booties made out of wet suit material.

I also got over being drunk and hungover - cold ass salt water will do that, and being all pissed off at my woman.

Go figure - this morning pulled in Double Over Head waves at some of the beaches here in San Diego county!

When I went on Saturday, they were barely Double Over My Knee.
