"Yeah based on today's (Tuesday) waves, I think we need to come up with another category in between "good" and "epic". I'm suggesting "outstanding" because that's what the waves were like today at many breaks throughout San Diego County. It seems like I couldn't look anywhere without seeing a standup barrel, glassy conditions, and long walled up shoulders. It was truly an excellent day to be in the water as rising NW swell combined with glassy conditions to provide classic Southern California winter surf."
I couldn't have said it better myself. I got off work about 4:20 PM - rushed home - grabbed my board and wetsuit - and took off to my usual spot. I got there with about 45 min of sunlight left - and I used every last minute of it. Calm winds, glassy water, and consistent sets made way for the best ride of my short surfing careeer! Now I just can't wait to get back out there and do it again!
