So on Friday, I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. I was a little nervous about the whole thing, but once the process was set in motion - ie - the morphine shot was given, I was all good. I think that I wasn't completely asleep during the operation because when I woke up - or felt like I woke up - I was telling my girlfriend about how I remembered the cracking noises and pressure. And evidently, I even asked to keep my teeth - while they were being removed! I only got to keep two - the others needed to be cracked and broken to be taken out.
Had an interesting thing happen when I got home as well. I wanted to change clothes before planting myself on the couch, so I went into my room and was bending over to take off my pants and blood just came pouring out of my mouth. I didn't feel it at all - local anesthesia was still in effect - so thank goodness my girl was there.
I feeling alot better, and after another day of recouperating tomorrow, should be about 75%. However, eating food has proven to be the hardest thing. My face is all swollen, and chewing is very difficult.
So I have to give a big thank you to my girlfriend for taking excellent care of me so far. She even made mashed potatos for me, so that I would have something to eat aside from yogurt and ice cream!
